A different edition because it is highly anticipated, and at the same time familiar because it has finally been restored to its original glory.

After the dampened success of two years marked by the Pandemic and its necessary restrictions, the event under the banner of good wine and good food returns to enliven the streets of Santarcangelo for two magical evenings: Friday, August 5 and Saturday, August 6.

An official press conference was held last night, during which Pro Loco Santarcangelo and Città Viva presented all the details of the event.

The theme of this particular edition could only be one: the return to life and the sharing of small pleasures, to be savored through an intoxicating journey in crescendo.
Thirst from a simple necessity of the body gradually transforms into Joy, slowly takes the forms of Pleasure and pervades the mind, until it is shipwrecked in a state of sweet Madness.

Wine, People, Food and Events will be the real protagonists of Calici 2022, which could not be such without the presence of its evocative stage: Santarcangelo di Romagna. One of the most romantic villages of our territory, CittàSlow, emblem of good living and always been the cradle of art, poetry and Romagna tradition.

Thursday, August 4, will open the dances with a gourmet dinner at the Rocca, created by Chef Silver Succi of Quartopiano and accompanied by a special selection of local wines.

Over the next two days, the whole town will be alive again with events, wineries and food stands, expertly distributed by the Municipal Administration all over the town map. From the slopes of Clementine Park to the top of the long staircase of Via della Costa, in Piazzetta Monache under the lights of the Campanone.

There will be 44 wineries from Romagna ready to fill the event's typical glasses, decorated with the profile of the town of Santarcangelo. From Lombardy, on the other hand, comes this edition's Guest Winery: Tenuta Rocca de Giorgi, which will travel in the company of the traveling wine shop Vino al Vino.

To tantalize the palate, two Food Zones will be active : the first in Ganganelli Square, where Mad for BBQ, Al Volo, Agriturismo Viaggiante, La Quinta piadineria and Alessi piadineria will be present; the second, in Marini Square, will instead host Birgo Burger, Per La Polpetta, ASPASSO and Aceto Rosso piadineria. And for those in the mood for an after-meal gourmet treat, Distilleria Roteglia will serve its fine liquors at the DeGustà space on Via Battisti.

Serving as the soundtrack to Goblets 2022 will be the many concerts and events scattered throughout the country. Music will range across genres along with The Caribbean Delights, Camilla and the Cream Bomboloni, Bologna Bridge Band, Supermarket, Ops Band, The Angry Gentlemen and Man y Miguel & Los Borrachos Bros.

On Friday and Saturday evenings, the ProLoco of Santarcangelo will lead evocative tours of the city's most hidden and fascinating caves; a journey of discovery of underground Santarcangelo that will end with a special tasting.

The Piazzetta Monache will host theOsteria da Oreste, which will be transformed into "Delle Monache - Osteria in Piazza" for the occasion , with natural wine tastings accompanied by an unforgettable DJ set. Pedretti Square will be enlivened by juggling shows, along with "In bubble with Stecchino Lilliputians" and "Li Nadari Giullari," while the Santarcangiolesi AstrophilesAssociation will guide the curious on a fascinating journey to discover the stars.

Last but not least intriguing, at Marini Square from 7 p.m. to midnight, there will be dancing to the notes of Argentine tango with HOTANGO, for a romantic Milonga Under the Stars.

The desire to relive this magical event will be great, and so will safety: the Vallata Municipal Police and the Circolando camper will provide spots where alcohol testing will be possible.

Calici Santarcangelo is finally back, and this time in all its glory.
